Carmina Feri Babao, MD
Known as Mina by family but as Dr. B by the staff and her long-term patients, she was the original member of the practice before it even became Dawson Pediatrics. She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in BS Biology at the University of the Philippines then received her medical degree at the University of the East. She did her pediatric residency training at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York. In 1999, Dr. B was hired by Chestatee Regional Hospital to establish a pediatric office in Dawsonville. When her employment ended in 2004, she was offered positions in other places but she decided to stay in the community where she got married, raised her kids and made lasting friendships with many of her patients.
Honorio Rowell Bulos, MD
Rowell or Dr. Bu as he is called to differentiate him from his wife, the original Dr. B, joined his wife in 2004 to establish the practice now known as Dawson Pediatrics. He practiced for 3 ½ years as a solo pediatrician in Ellijay. While helping to grow the practice, he worked part time in several offices in Chamblee, Jonesboro, Gainesville, and Norcross, an experience that helped him see what makes a practice become successful. Dr. Bu also went to the University of the Philippines and the University of the East, then went to the Mercer University School of Medicine Pediatrics program at the Medical Center of Central Georgia for his residency training.
